PROJECT UNIT 6: HOBBIES AND FREE TIME

 MY HOBBIES

In my free time, I like to be outside and going to the country or to the park. I like walking, riding my bike  and running. On Sundays I always go to the country with my dad. I go to the country twice a week and at the weekends.
 I also love reading books and listening to music at home. I sometimes go to the cinema to watch films. I love watching films.
 My friend William has got different hobbies. In his free time he does sports. He loves playing football and playing tennis. He plays tennis since he was four years old. He likes travelling too and taking photos.
What do you like doing in your free time?

5TH GRADE: PROJECT UNIT 4: TELL A STORY

 El project de la unidad 4 consiste en mirar tres fotos y contar una breve historia sobre lo que ocurre en las fotos.

Recordad que se puede contar en presente o en pasado y que hay que usar conectores: THEN, AFTER, AFTER THAT, NEXT, FINALLY.

Os adjunto un ejemplo y las fotos para que contéis vosotros la historia:

HISTORIA PARA CONTAR

EN PASADO:

One day Daisy went shopping with his mother. She didn't want to go shopPing. When they were walking the mother's bag broke and all the food fell down, then,  Daisy picked up the food. When they arrived home the mother was very sad because the bag was broken. Finally,  the girl gave her mum all the food.


EN PRESENTE:

Daisy is sad because she doesn't want to go shopping with her mother. The mother's bag breaks and all the food falls down on the floor. Then, the girl picks up everything. Finally, when they arrive home she gives all the food to her mum and they are happy.

MY FAVOURITE FOOD

My favourite food from Extremadura is migas. It is a traditional dish in my region. Shepherds used to eat this a long time ago. People ate this for breakfast but now it is eaten for lunch too. Migas is made with different ingredients depending on the different parts of Extremadura.
I love eating migas for luch in winter. I use to eat them with a hot cup of coffee.

PROJECT UNIT 3: ZAFRA, MY CITY.

 El project que haremos en este tema consiste en describir nuestra ciudad y hablar de nuestra calle, de los comercios y servicios cercanos. También explicaremos como llegar desde mi casa al colegio. Para ello tendrán que usar las siguientes expresiones:

There is....
There are.....
Many....
A lot
Preposiciones: next to, opposite, in front of, behind...
Directions: Go to the left, go straight on, cross, past,...
On the left/ on the right
I think......../ I believe.....

Tienen que usar conectores: But, also, so,....

I live in Zafra, a city located in the southwest of Extremadura. In my city there are.......... but there aren't........
There is also a ........
I live in Sevilla Street. Next to my house there are many shops and restaurants, but there aren't any....
To go to school from my house I have to cross the street, then take the second street on the right, go straight on and past the park.

HOW TO DESCRIBE A PICTURE

 En clase estamos practicando la descripción de fotos según los modelos de los exámenes de Cambridge. Os adjunto algunos vídeos con ejemplos reales de los exámenes de Cambridge del nivel Flyers ( 5º y 6º)

El proyecto del tema 3 consiste en escribir una carta al alcalde solicitando los disfraces de la Edad de Oro. (Activity book page 24) Para ello tienen que seguir las siguientes pautas:
-  Dirección tuya a la derecha y fecha.
- Dirección del sitio al que dirigimos la carta a la  izquierda.
- Saludo formal: DEAR SIR OR MADAM.
- Comenzamos explicando para que escribimos: I SAW YOUR WEBSITE/ ADVERTISEMENT/ LEAFLET,... AND I AM WRITING TO GET SOME INFORMATION ABOUT.....

- Frases educadas para preguntar: I WOULD LIKE TO ....( I would like to know if..../ when...../ how...)
- PLEASE, COULD YOU TELL ME...
- Despedida formal: YOURS FAITHFULLY
- Tu nombre y firma al final.
